Koelsystemen in de Formule 1: Hoe verschillen ze van gewone auto’s?

  • Koelsystemen in de Formule 1 zijn veel geavanceerder dan die van gewone auto’s. Ze maken gebruik van meerdere radiatoren, luchtkanalen en warmtewisselaars om extreme temperaturen aan te kunnen.
  • In tegenstelling tot personenwagens, die vertrouwen op één enkele radiator en ventilator, gebruiken F1-wagens luchtinlaten, vloeibare koelmiddelen en uitlaatluchtstromen om motoren en onderdelen veilig te houden.
  • De complexiteit strekt zich uit tot het koelen van remmen, hydraulica en zelfs de coureur, waardoor F1-systemen een allesomvattend pakket vormen dat veel verder gaat dan wat gewone voertuigen nodig hebben.
