Lando Norris gave fans a reason to laugh ahead of Halloween by sharing a cheeky response to a question about his costume plans. The McLaren driver appeared in a short 13-second video in which McLaren admin asked him what he would dress up as for the occasion.
The reigning champion issued a cheeky response, roasting the admin and leaving him in splits.
The video started with the admin’s question: “What would you dress up as for Halloween?” Norris replied, “Probably you.” As the admin questioned why he had picked them, the Briton delivered the punchline: “To scare a few people off, wouldn’t it?”
Lando Norris’ Pop-Up Shop In Polanco, Mexico City
Norris is currently in Mexico City for the 19th round of the 2026 F1 season. Ahead of the start of the race weekend, the McLaren driver set up a pop-up shop in Polanco selling his iconic LN4 merchandise.
Set up in partnership with Norris’ entertainment and lifestyle brand Quadrant, the shop screams the McLaren driver’s signature neon green aesthetic at first sight. From keychains to apparel, the theme remains consistent.
The pop-up shop is selling keychains for $21 (MXN $400), the most affordable item available. Meanwhile, T-Shirts start at $75 (MXN $1,400), going as high as $80 (MXN $1,500). Caps and bucket hats, which Norris is often seen sporting, are available for $60 (MXN $1,100).
This is not the first time Norris has set up a pop-up shop. While racing in different cities as per F1’s calendar, Norris has brought his merchandise along for sale. Before Polanco, Norris’ merchandise pop-up shops appeared at the British GP and the United States GP.
How Did Lando Norris Perform in Mexico City Practice?
Lando Norris missed FP1 at the Mexico City Grand Prix as McLaren gave his car to Leonardo Fornaroli for a mandatory rookie practice session. Fornaroli completed 25 laps and finished 17th, while Norris waited for FP2 to make his first appearance of the weekend.

The Briton made a strong return in the second session, finishing second with a best lap of 1:17.930 after completing 33 laps. He was only 0.103 seconds behind Charles Leclerc, who topped the timesheets for Ferrari.
George Russell finished third, just 0.003 seconds behind Norris, highlighting how close the competition was.
Norris also showed encouraging pace during the long runs, giving McLaren reasons to feel positive about Sunday’s race. However, he admitted that the car remained difficult to drive and that the team still had work to do before qualifying.

The reigning champion topped FP3 with 1:17.600 as his quickest lap, outpacing Kimi Antonelli in second and Leclerc in third.
Norris will hope to convert his strong FP2 and FP3 performance into a competitive starting position through a strong qualifying, and subsequently convert it into a race win.
Norris’ race win will automatically grant Kimi Antonelli his maiden F1 championship. The win would make for a bittersweet experience for Norris as Antonelli’s title win will strip the Briton of his reigning champion status.
