It’s a time of celebrations in the Leclerc household, with Charles Leclerc becoming a father for the first time ahead of the São Paulo Grand Prix. Having tied the knot with wife Alexandra Mleux in February this year, the couple recently took to social media to welcome their baby daughter named ‘Bianca.’

Naturally, as Leclerc made his way to the Paddock in São Paulo, the birth of his daughter was a major talking point. The Monegasque branded the feeling “the most special thing ever” while talking to the F1 media. He added, “I’ve always wanted to be a young dad, and obviously with Alex, we felt like it was the right time. It’s a very, very special moment and definitely a week I’ll forever remember for all the positive reasons.”

The No. 16 driver also spoke briefly about the ongoing intra-team tension with Lewis Hamilton, but made it clear that this week has now become all about Bianca. Leclerc feels that everything has been “incredible” this week owing to the birth of his daughter, and he isn’t in the mood to focus on the negatives for now.

Notably, the couple shared the news of their daughter’s birth in a joint post on social media on Wednesday (November 4), a day after Bianca was born. They uploaded a photo of the baby’s feet alongside the caption, “Bianca 3.11.26.” And the duo has since been flooded with congratulatory messages.

How the F1 World Reacted to the News of Charles Leclerc’s Daughter’s Birth

With fans flocking together to congratulate the couple as soon as they shared the news, Leclerc’s fellow drivers on the grid weren’t far behind with their messages either. Former Ferrari driver and Leclerc’s ex-teammate Carlos Sainz was among the first drivers to congratulate the couple, as the Spaniard wrote, “So happy for you. Welcome to the world Bianca.”

McLaren’s Oscar Piastri also dropped by in the comments section to write, “Congratulations to you both,” while Alpine driver Pierre Gasly also had a “congrats!!!” in store for them.

Four-time former world champion Alain Prost would also join the festivities with a message for the new parents, as he congratulated them both while welcoming baby Leclerc to the world. His message was followed by the words of two more motorsports legends, Jean Alesi and Adrien Tambay.

Meanwhile, his team, Scuderia Ferrari, was also in the mix as they commented, “Huge congratulations to you both!! Wonderful news,” with the likes of Mercedes and newly crowned champion Kimi Antonelli also celebrating the news. However, what caught the eye of many was the absence of a message from Lewis Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc Find Themselves at a Crossroads in Ferrari

Last weekend in Mexico City, Hamilton and Leclerc butted heads against each other, only to lose out on what might have been a Ferrari one-two finish. Ever since, the British driver has been far from happy with his teammate and has been extremely vocal about it. He has demanded an ironing out of the rules of engagement between the two drivers, claiming Ferrari needs to have a serious word before the Brazil race.

Taking things a step further, Hamilton alleged that Leclerc has a history of racing his teammates harder than other drivers on the grid. He stated that it was the same with Sainz as well as Sebastian Vettel.

Following it all, Leclerc saw Dino Beganovic take charge of his Ferrari in the Sao Paulo FP1. But the Monegasque has since come forward to reveal that he and Hamilton have sat down to discuss everything and work things out, with Fred Vasseur also playing things down. The new father is confident that things have settled down between him and his teammate, and he looks forward to racing in Brazil this weekend.
