Fans in Disbelief as 2026 Silverstone Grand Prix Ticket Prices Revealed

Formula 1 fans have voiced frustration after ticket prices for the 2026 British Grand Prix at Silverstone were revealed, with many saying the event is becoming too expensive for ordinary supporters.

The surge in F1’s global popularity—fuelled in part by Netflix’s Drive to Survive—has driven unprecedented demand for race tickets. The British Grand Prix is consistently one of the sport’s biggest draws, attracting sell-out crowds year after year.

For 2026, Silverstone has frozen the cost of basic general admission tickets at last year’s levels. However, prices for more desirable options have climbed sharply. Raceday packages now range from £229 to £379, while a three-day reserved grandstand seat at the popular ‘Landostand’ costs £539. Fans wishing to attend Thursday’s additional activities face a total bill of £569.

One of the most popular options, the “Landostand” dedicated to McLaren star Lando Norris, continues to rise in price. Supporters who choose this package receive a special t-shirt and wristband as part of the fan experience.

Beyond the on-track spectacle, Silverstone has expanded its off-track offering, with major concerts and entertainment scheduled throughout the weekend. But despite the extras, many fans remain unimpressed.

Silverstone has long been regarded as one of the most expensive races to attend on the F1 calendar, and the latest increases have only reinforced its reputation. Social media reaction has been swift, with many fans expressing disbelief at the cost of securing a seat.

With F1’s popularity showing no sign of slowing, organisers face the challenge of balancing demand with accessibility—ensuring that the sport’s biggest home race remains within reach of its loyal fanbase.
