Christian Horner Reveals How Misconduct Allegations Affected His Marriage With Geri Halliwell
Former Red Bull Racing CEO Christian Horner has revealed that his marriage with Spice Girl wife Geri Halliwell was ‘never in doubt’ amid the misconduct allegations he faced during his time at the Austrian team. He added that the period of turmoil only brought the couple closer together.
“My marriage was never in doubt. Throughout it, Geri was steadfast in her support and I think your partner, your wife, is the person that you share everything with. She lived through this whole experience with me,” Horner said on “The Sports Agent” podcast.
“She understood how media operated and, obviously, she’s an extremely well-known person which only attracts more attention to us. But, upmost and foremost, she was my wife. She was an absolute rock during that that period, and I would say, if anything, it’s only brought us closer together,” he added.

A female Red Bull employee lodged a complaint against Horner in February 2024, alleging the Briton of inappropriate and controlling behavior. Red Bull’s parent company then made a statement confirming that it was investigating Horner for misconduct, and that the allegations were being taken “extremely seriously.”
But Horner was cleared after an independent barrister cleared him of any wrongdoing. The employee appealed this decision, following which another independent barrister dismissed the appeal, clearing Horner once again.
Christian Horner “Hugely Grateful” to Geri Halliwell For Her Support

Horner also added that he is ‘hugely grateful’ to his wife Geri for the support she provided him during the ‘difficult time’ that he went through during the misconduct investigation. The 52-year-old also alluded to a difficult period within his family more recently in 2025, when he lost his ex-wife and the mother of his daughter, Beverley Allen, to cancer.
“When you go through any kind of experience like that… I’m hugely grateful for the for the love and support that she provided during that difficult time, and not just on track, but obviously behind the scenes with what we had going on in the family as well,” said Horner.
Horner was married to Allen for 14 years from 1999 to 2014 before separating. In 2015, Horner married Halliwell, and the couple have been together ever since.
Christian Horner Shares Emotional “Sacrifice” Revelation About His Time at Red Bull

Horner shared that he missed the birth of his daughter, Grace, along with many other ‘family things’ during his time as Red Bull Racing boss, as he felt like it was his responsibility to do so. He added that it was then tough to swallow that his time at the F1 team ended overnight after he gave 20 years of his life to the outfit.
“I’d given over 20 years to the to the team. I think I’d been to 405 races in succession, I never missed a race. I’d missed landmark moments like the birth of my daughter and so many family things that you sacrifice in pursuit of your goals and your ambitions, and I felt a loyalty and a responsibility to the team and the people,” said Horner.
“So, to suddenly have that overnight taken away from you was very tough. I would have never stayed anywhere that I didn’t feel that I was wanted, and so if they’d have asked me to go at the end of the season, I wouldn’t have stayed where I wasn’t wanted. But it did feel quite brutal,” he added.

Horner then admitted that getting fired was in a way a blessing in disguise as it gave him time to be with his daughter in her time of grief, as she had just lost her mother.
